Middle School

6th-8th Grade

At Think Cherry Tree, Middle School is a time for Mentoring. Students take on a very active role in their education. Teachers help students work together to think, discuss, problem solve, and communicate their ideas and observations. Our Sudbury Model allows students time to delve deeply into their interests, whether gaming, design, art, science or wherever their imagination and courage takes them. They have a say and a vote in their education, and on every aspect of what goes on in our community.

Academically, students work at their level in Math, Language Arts, Science and History but they are allowed the freedom to incorporate their interests into their academics. Our teachers have the freedom to spend more time on discussing current events, and gearing assignments to each student since we are not locked into a one size fits all curriculum.

Sudbury Students (full time) receive our full attention as we provide experiences, guest speakers, and materials to enhance their talents and skills. They can team up with other students or learn on their own. Our encouraging teachers are there to help them along the way. Many Middle School students are also actors and performers on our Performing Arts Fridays.
